9.2* Lyle Eugene Elben, b. 15 Oct 1951, d. 28 Jan 2006 in Belton, Cass Co., MO. In 1993 he lived at 5780 Milgen Rd., Apt. 403, Columbus, GA.
Lyle Eugene Elben, 54 of Belton, MO was called to his eternal home Jan. 28, 2006 at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Home in Belton. Graveside services will be held at Glenwood Cemetery in Shelbyville at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 15, 2006 with Rev. Johannes Poetschner officiating. Arrangements are made by Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Shelbyville. Memorials may be made to Grace Hospice, Ward Parkway Suite, 410 K.C..., MO 64114. Lyle was born Oct. 15, 1951 in Pana, the son of John and Jeanette (Schwenker) Elben then of Shelbyville. The family moved to the Belton area in 1965 . He graduated from Belton High School and attended Longview Community College for two years. He was a truck driver for Denver-Albuquerque Transport Company, then TomÕs Peanuts in Columbus, GA where he made his home until returning to Belton in 2003. He enjoyed the outdoors and fishing and loved his Christian faith. He was baptized and confirmed a Lutheran. He is survived by his father, John W. Elben of Belton, MO; his son Sean W. Bybee of Lee Summitt; and a sister, Sharon Carneal and husband Tom of Belton, MO; three aunts: Marie Stewardson of Rosemount, MN; Eileen Jenkins and husband Bob of Grand Haven, MI; Wanda King and husband Larry of Decatur and many cousins. Preceding him in death is his mother, Jeanette in April 12, 2005; his grandparents: Harry and Gertie Elben; Roy and Phoebe Schwenker; uncles Roy Schwenker Jr., Don Stewardson, Herb Dolowy; aunt Shirley (Schwenker) Dolowy; cousins: Kathy June Moore and Terry Dolowy. Lyle will be greatly missed by his beloved family and friends.
