Reuben initially migrated to Frederick County which is the northernmost county in Virginia and due west of Kent Co., MD, where he had come from. He then moved south to Shenandoah County, and after his second marriage in 1798, he moved much further south to Wythe County. His children all returned to the north, to Rockingham County (Lorenzo and Harold), Frederick County (William), Hampshire County VA, now WV (Montgomery).
