He is survived by his wife, Martha Ò MistyÓ Nunn Elbourn; a brother, Donald Ray Elbourn and his wife, Terry; four children, Joseph Paul Elbourn and his wife, Maggie, Joseph Benjamin Elbourn III, Laura Elbourn Rainville and her husband, Chris, and Stephen Christopher Elbourn; three grandchildren, Bailey Elbourn, Ethan Rainville, Zach Elbourn; a sister-in-law, Joanne Elbourn; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Benji was a lifetime member of the White Stone Volunteer Fire Department and a member of the Lancaster Moose Lodge. He was a well-known brick mason and gun dealer.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Sunday, September 29, 2013 at Currie Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 28 at Currie Funeral Home in Kilmarnock, VA.
