Mark has been arrested several times for driving without a license, failing probation, resisting arrest, etc. Too bad he is so young and already spent time in jail, had to go to alcohol and drug rehabilitation, lost his license, subject to random urinalysis, not allowed to drink or use drugs.
Six Charged with Smuggling Drugs into Jail, 31 May 2012. CHESTERTOWN Six people have been charged with conspiring to smuggle drugs into the Kent County Detention Center. The Kent County Sheriff's Office has identified them as: Elizabeth Ann Ramirez, 32, of Rock Hall; Joshua Wade Andes, 39, of Rock Hall; Chelsea Sierra Hunt, 21, of Centreville; Eric Thomas Ireland, 25, of Chestertown; Kimberly Ann Zador, 19, of Rock Hall; and Mark Shane Elburn, 21, of Rock Hall.
Elburn, Andes and Ireland were all incarcerated when the drugs were allegedly mailed.
According to a news release from the sheriff's office, correctional officers intercepted greeting cards that contained suspected drugs and were addressed to Elburn, Andes, and Ireland.
The investigation began in late April when correctional officers, while scanning incoming mail, found a greeting card that looked like it had been glued together. The card, which was addressed to Ireland, contained what was later identified as marijuana.
Jailers forwarded the card to the sheriff's office Narcotics Enforcement Team. Based on recorded correspondence between Hunt and Ireland, NET officers determined that Hunt sent the card, according to court documents.
Hunt was charged with distribution of marijuana and delivery of marijuana to a place of confinement. Ireland was charged with conspiracy offenses as a co-conspirator with Hunt.
On April 21, correctional officers intercepted a second greeting card addressed to Andes, containing what was later identified as heroin. NET detectives matched the handwriting on the card to Ramirez.
Ramirez was charged with distribution of heroin and delivery of heroin to a place of confinement. Andes was charged with conspiring with Ramirez.
It is alleged that Zador mailed greeting cards containing suspected Suboxone, a prescription narcotic, to Elburn on April 27 and May 3.
Police identified Zador as Elburn's girlfriend. She has been charged with distribution of Suboxone and delivery of Suboxone to a place of confinement on two separate occasions. Elburn was charged with conspiracy offenses as a co-conspirator with Zador.
According to Cpl. Nate Blazejak of the NET, the Zador-Elburn and Ramirez-Andes cases are related. The cards in both cases were "absolutely identical" and during interviews with Zador and Ramirez, officers "learned that one party assisted the other."
Police have not determined if the Hunt-Ireland case is connected, according to Blazejak.
Zador has a preliminary hearing set for June 14 in Kent County District Court. Preliminary hearings for Hunt, Andes, Ramirez and Ireland are set for June 21 in district court here, and Elburn's hearing is set for June 28. In a preliminary hearing, a judge determines if there is probable cause to believe the defendant committed the offense(s).
PAROLE. March 22, 2012. Mark Shane Elburn, 21, Rock Hall, on March 7, was arrested on a Maryland Parole Commission parole retake warrant for violation of parole. He was initially held in the Kent County Detention Center without bond. Dfc. Michael V. Piasecki served the warrant.
